  6. This folder contains the principal developer documentation for OpenDoc for the Mac™ OS (though there have been some changes — see the bottom of this document for details). The subfolders contain the following documents:

  8. HTML Documents
  9. Contains the OpenDoc Class Reference, OpenDoc Programmer's Guide, and OpenDoc Cookbook  in HTML format

  11. Acrobat Documents
  12. Contains the OpenDoc Class Reference, OpenDoc Programmer's Guide, and OpenDoc Cookbook  in Acrobat format, all indexed for full text search
  13.  
  14. QuickView databases
  15. Contains the OpenDoc Class Reference  in QuickView™ format, which gives you hypertext access to the OpenDoc API descriptions in the same manner as Macintosh Programmer's Toolbox Assistant.

  17. Also contains recently created QuickView databases of the OpenDoc Programmer's Guide  and OpenDoc Cookbook, giving you direct QuickView access to overview information and sample-code tutorials as well as API reference.

  19. • To view the HTML versions of the documentation, launch your favorite Web browser 
  20.    or double-click on the aliases of the documents in the HTML folder within this folder
  21.  
  22. • To view the Acrobat documents on this CD, you must first install Acrobat Reader 2.1 
  23.    with Search for CD ROMs.  For instructions, see “Installing Acrobat Reader 2.1” in the 
  24.    Adobe Acrobat 2.1 folder within the Utilities folder.

  26. • To use the fast indexed text search with theClass Reference, Programmer’s Guide, 
  27.    and Cookbook, see “Fast Text Search with Acrobat!” in the Acrobat documents folder 
  28.    within this folder.

  30. • To view the QuickView version of the documentation, see “Using 
  31.    QuickView with OpenDoc” in the QuickView databases folder within this folder.

  40. Contains the Drag and Drop Human Interface Guidelines and the OpenDoc Human Interface Specification  in Acrobat format. Also contains Human Interface Q & A, a collection of articles presenting answers to the most commonly asked questions about the OpenDoc user interface, and a set of instructional HI demos.
